 Gautam Shantilal Adani is an Indian businessman. He is the founder and chairman of Adani Group.

He was born on 24 June 1962 in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. His father was a textile merchant.
He is the owner of Mundra Port that is India's largest private port located in the Kutch district of Gujarat.
His present net worth is $37.8B and he is the second richest person in India.
He survived the terror attacks of 2008 in Mumbai's Taj Mahal Palace Hotel that killed more than 160 people
In 1988, He started Adani Exports Limited which is the holding company of Adani Group and is known as Adani Enterprises Limited at present.
He was a self-made millionaire at the age of 20. He used to work as a diamond broker in his initial days in Mumbai.
He was awarded the Excellence in Management Award - 2006 by Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
